SuperTyre, a national sales and servicing provider of a wide range of tyres, was looking to upgrade its base of operations in Christchurch, with a requirement of offering a showroom experience to customers coming through their doors. They approached Calder Stewart Property seeking a tailored solution that could be offered within the scope of a lease-based agreement.

The facility that we designed and built to their requirements gave them just what they asked for. A 200m2 office section at the front was specified with a polished concrete floor, made ready for their specialised showroom. And at the back, a 1400m2 warehouse area with fibre reinforced floor slab was divided into two sections – the first half offering ample space for storage of tyre inventory and the other half, a workshop area with three bays, was made capable of servicing a wide range of vehicles, including the big rigs that SuperTyre specialise in. The location itself suited them well, situated on Establishment Drive in Calder Stewart’s Hornby Quadrant.

The build itself went smoothly and was finished four weeks ahead of schedule, which allowed the client to jumpstart fitouts on both the showroom and workshop areas.
