When Vodafone was seeking a distinctive, trend setting premises for the South Island, we collaborated with architectural firm Jasmax to design a commercial office premise that would be recognised as one of New Zealand’s most technologically advanced workplaces.
Attention to quality detailing including a challenging, full height atrium clad in natural timbers along with the careful implementation of 21st century wireless technology throughout the building, sets this project apart. Situated in Christchurch’s CBD, Vodafone’s InnoV8 building is the keystone in Christchurch City Council’s Innovation Precinct rebuild plans.
This project was a test of logistics as CERA were trying to open up the Innovation precinct at the same time so we were building on a piece of land that was still going through the process of being properly subdivided.
The project also included the creation of additional office space to be made available to other business start-ups, which share state-of-the-art resources and infrastructure, as well as a new head office for retailer Kathmandu next door and an adjacent multi-level carpark, all within the city block on which the entire project is situated.
