About the Job
Due to sustained growth in our Auckland office we are seeking a detailed Project Manager that can come on board and lead some of our interesting varied projects. You will work along-side the Auckland Regional Manager and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Our Career Pathways programme and the expansion of our North Island operation offers very real opportunity for further career growth within the business.
Skills You Will Need
Being an integral member of our construction team you will have natural leadership ability, a thorough understanding of NZ commercial construction methods and confidently utilise your programming abilities to ensure your projects are delivered on programme and to the highest quality.
Additionally we will be looking for the following attributes from candidates:
- A trade qualification or tertiary qualification in construction management or quantity surveying
- 10 + years’ experience in managing a mix of medium to large design and construct projects
- Competence in Microsoft Office including MS Project (SharePoint advantageous)
- Solid programming skills
- Sound knowledge of the NZ construction market and relevant commercial construction legislation experience
- Ability to interpret and understand drawings and structures with a view to offering optimum value for the client
- A leader whom see’s internal staff development key to the success of our business
- Strong financial management with ability to drive cost accountability
- Outstanding written and oral communication.
