2 Hazeldean Business Park
Phase 2 of the Development Project Goes Forward
Christchurch – Calder Stewart Development is pleased to announce that construction is going forward on 2 Hazeldean Business Park, representing the second phase of the six building commercial office development plan for site. With two levels already leased to Grant Thorton Accountants and AECOM Consultants respectively, the project looks like it’s off to a good start whilst meeting continuing demand for centrally located office space in the Christchurch CBD area. The project rounds out the already fully tenanted facilities that were built during phase one of the Hazeldean Business Park development project.
Built to Exceed Earthquake Standards
The new rugged 3,600sq.metre structure is designed to exceed the newest earthquake standards. Calder Stewart Construction, who is erecting the project, selected an innovative steel K-Brace frame system for seismic bracing, reflecting its proactive approach in introducing new construction methods into its projects, especially as the Christchurch rebuild process takes place.
An important, but less noticeable strength of the project is its affordability. At a time when it’s standard to charge in excess of $400/sq.metre per annum for floor space of this calibre, the decision was made to offer it in the $350/sq.metre range. This is viewed as having a positive influence in bolstering Canterbury business – and one the development team is rightly proud of.
